What is it about cupcakes that gets everyone so excited. Make them giggle, gorge and eat with their mouths open?
My college roommate had the idea of serving them, in lieu of wedding cake, 8 years ago. I remember thinking she was rather forward thinking, genius as a matter of fact! Who doesn’t like a cupcake!? Now 8 years later it is overdone to the point of being passes.
Still they are all the rage these days, not just secluded to your kindergarten birthday parties anymore, they are EVERYWHERE! Wedding, 30th birthdays, on the dessert menu at 5 star restaurants. They come in crazy flavors and colors and with everything from hearts to animals on top.
Leave it to Martha Stewart to come up with a different cupcake for each holiday or occasion! GO ahead I dare you Google “cupcakes martha stewart”…
